Controversies
In November 2024, 1Win experienced a significant data breach in which attackers copied data for approximately 96–100 million users, including email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, geolocations, dates of birth, and SHA-256-hashed passwords. The breached dataset was subsequently added to the Have I Been Pwned? database. The attackers reportedly demanded up to US$15 million during negotiations before posting portions of the stolen data on underground forums.
In Russia, 1Win is classified as an unlicensed bookmaker and is accessible only via mirror domains. In Kazakhstan, authorities opened an investigation in 2023 into the platform's payment processing activities, citing concerns about user authentication and potential access by minors.

1Win's primary markets are India, Nigeria, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Kenya, Ivory Coast, and other emerging economies across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
